The style “California Common” or “Steam Beer” refers to a time before refrigeration when brewers would leave hot wort to cool outside overnight. The cold night would cause a heavy fog to form around the vats. Our version of this style uses a fruity lager yeast fermented slightly warm to compliment the caramel malts & earthy hops.
