We are an independently owned craft brewery in development in downtown Parry Sound on the waterfront. The property is located at 9 Great North Road backing onto the river and has spectacular views looking towards Parry Sound’s iconic CPR Trestle bridge and Georgian Bay.
Long ago the property was occupied by one of the largest train stations in northern Ontario. Later, it was a fuel oil storage depot. The property had been vacant for almost 20 years and testing confirmed it was contaminated with hydrocarbons. After the purchase of the property a full site evaluation and cleanup was undertaken. We decided early on that cleaning up the site was the right thing to do. It is an incredible location with a unique view and we are fortunate to have an opportunity to build a project like this here.
The 4000 sq. ft facility is currently under construction and will include a taproom serving year round beer offerings brewed on site as well as other seasonal special beers throughout the year. The taproom will feature local foods that pair well with our beers. The open concept design connects the brewhouse area on one end through our taproom/retail area, out onto our waterfront patio on the other end.

A lot of water has flowed under the Trestle since they first met in university 20+ years ago. They both had long hair and enjoyed imported beer on long canoe trips into Algonquin Park, out on Georgian Bay and other northern paddling destinations.
After careers in their respective industries, they decided to change it up and build Trestle Brewing Company with a small is beautiful mindset.
Now, when they get together in the great outdoors, they are unwavering consumers of Ontario craft beer.
We are proud to have Matt Lyons on board as our Head Brewer. A graduate of the Niagara College Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program, Matt has spent the past four years brewing in Victoria, BC. Since moving to Parry Sound in June with his family, Matt has been busy overseeing the production of our Golden Ale as well as designing and piloting recipes for our future releases.
